Lumidigm, i-Evo partner for biometrics

Lumidigm announced that biometric company i-Evo is using Lumidigm’s multispectral imaging sensors to produce more sensitive fingerprint readers that can be used in harsh environments, including busy hospital settings.

Lumidigm multispectral fingerprint sensors capture fingerprint data beneath the surface of the skin and can read through snow, cold, water, dust, oil, creams and gloves by using wavelengths of light and polarization techniques, the Albuquerque, N.M.-based Lumidigm stated.

i-Evo biometric readers are employed by a variety of customers, including schools, corporate buildings, universities and hospitals, the company added.
