KLAS: Talent management systems boost efficiency

Talent management systems positively impact employee performance and productivity, according to a newly released KLAS report, Talent Management 2013: The Journey has Begun.

The study, which examines vendor performance at multiple organizations, found that four out of five healthcare providers link talent management systems to greater efficiency and cost savings. While the early findings are positive, the study also looks at challenges and opportunities for vendors to improve their products. For instance, providers are looking for better system integration and ease of use across an array of talent management areas.

"Though fairly early in the adoption curve, it is clear that talent management systems can have a notable impact on cost savings and efficiencies. Vendors have great opportunity to better align their products and services to the needs of the healthcare provider," said Joe Van De Graaff, research director and report author at KLAS.

In other findings, the report found that the largest vendors tended to perform the worst, and that full talent management suite deployment is a rarity. Rankings of vendors by their ability in different areas are also shared in the report.
