Idaho health system opens virtual care center

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho, celebrated the opening of its new virtual care center on Monday, Aug. 27.

The center provides telehealth services that allow patients to connect with their physicians despite being in different locations. The center will offer remote clinic and hospital consultation along with home monitoring.

The center will also offer a centralized medical team of physicians, nurses, allied professionals and IT professionals. It will have 350 members and more than 60 virtual care stations.

“The center helps St. Luke’s fulfill its mission and commitment to delivering top-quality care and removing barriers to services. Through this single location, virtual care services will be provided 24/7 to patients at clinics, hospitals and homes throughout Idaho and Eastern Oregon,” St. Luke’s said in a statement.
