Harris, Johns Hopkins to collaborate on medical images

Harris and Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore are embarking on a joint venture to develop next-generation medical image management tools.

The collaboration brings together Harris’ health information and security technologies with Johns Hopkins’ clinical expertise to fuel innovations in medical image management, according to Harris, of Melbourne, Fla.

The Johns Hopkins-Harris venture will focus on developing medical image management tools to be deployed by the Johns Hopkins Health System and, later, to hospitals and healthcare providers around the country, the company stated.
