GE debuts iPad app for small practices
GE Healthcare released Centricity Advance – Mobile, a native Apple iPad application, designed for the small primary care physician practice.
With Centricity Advance – Mobile, clinicians using GE Healthcare’s Centricity Advance, a web-based EMR and practice management system, can walk with their iPads while continuing to interact with the patient and the patient's record, the Barrington, Ill.-based company stated.
The mobile application enables response to patient requests, such as prescription refills and emailed questions, said GE, adding that physicians can use their iPads to order, digitally sign and route a new prescription to a pharmacy.
