Frist forms healthcare venture capital firm

Bill Frist, MD, former U.S. Senator, is in the process of forming a new venture capital group to handle his and his partner's personal investments healthcare technology, according to Fortune.

Frist and his investment partner, Bryan Cressey, already are partners in the private equity firm Cressey & Co.

The new group will focus on smaller deals the two have made, mostly independently.
