Employers are dialing up telemedicine, but employees aren’t answering
With insurance open enrollment season coming, employers across the country will make decisions on whether to offer telemedicine services.
Though telehealth can save employers money while making healthcare more convenient for its employees, a new article in the Chicago Tribune reports that many employees aren’t using the services, a finding that could determine how employers organize their health plans.
Of 70 percent of large employers across the country that offered telemedicine, only 3 percent of employees used it in the first half of the year, according to a survey.
