eMix, VMware form alliance

eMix, a business venture of DR Systems, has formed an alliance with VMware.

eMix's architecture enables sharing of PACS images and reports among disparate institutions and physicians via the internet. Its cloud-based service can facilitate associating patient images to EMRs and patients' personal health records (PHRs), the San Diego-based eMix stated.

VMware’s cloud capabiliites will enable eMix to more rapidly deliver its medical exam-sharing service via a flexible infrastructure, according to eMix.
