Emdeon to buy FutureVision for up to $60M

Emdeon has signed an agreement to acquire electronic data management services provider FutureVision Technologies for approximately $20 million in cash, with additional contingent payments of up to $40 million in cash based upon the financial performance of the acquired business for the two- and three-year periods following the closing.

By combining FutureVision’s document conversion technology with Emdeon's connectivity network and revenue cycle management software, the Nashville-based company Emdeon said it has the ability to electronically process most patient and third party healthcare payments regardless of the format.
