Cleveland Clinic's spin-off marketplace ready for business
Cleveland Clinic Innovations quietly launched an online marketplace selling health tech developed in-house and by allied partners last fall.
ADEO, an e-commerce spinoff of Cleveland Clinic Innovations, is selling 13 health technology products including online marketplace selling apps, hosted to deliver ready-to-purchase healthcare products and services directly to the customer, including hospitals, private practice physicians and patients.
The store's inventory includes digital assets conceived and developed by the Cleveland Clinic including a data management software tool and a hearing protection app, according to Cleveland Clinic Innovations Executive Director Gary Fingerhut. "These aren't just any solutions," he said in a release. "These digital assets are conceived and developed by Cleveland Clinic caregivers and our alliance partners. The solutions on ADEO are proven to work within complex workflows and are designed to be integrated, streamlining practices to provide better care."
Most products be immediately downloaded but some will require the services of ADEO's infrastructure and team to help configure products and services into different organizations’ workflows.
The online marketplace provides another way for healthcare organizations to see what other institutions are doing to advance healthcare delivery. ” By sharing our approach to digital asset transformation, we anticipate this platform will spur additional collaborative opportunities to improve patient care on a global scale,” Fingerhut said.
The website grew out of the Global Healthcare Innovations Alliance, a network of hospital systems, academic institutions and industry partners led by Cleveland Clinic.
