CHE Trinity Health and Quantia Partner to Improve Patient Care by Bringing Clinical Experts Together More Frequently and Less Formally

Livonia, Mich., and Waltham, Mass., October 16, 2014CHE Trinity Health, one of the nation’s leading healthcare systems, and Quantia, Inc. (Quantia), a pioneer in physician engagement and alignment, today announced a partnership that will help physicians across CHE Trinity Health’s 20-state network share knowledge, advice and clinical expertise quickly and conveniently.

CHE Trinity Health selected Quantia’s platform and online community, QuantiaMD, based on its ability to engage physicians – at their computers or through their mobile devices – in a collaborative, coordinated social platform. The intention of the partnership is to facilitate the rapid sharing of clinical expertise so that CHE Trinity Health and its physicians can immediately begin contributing to improving outcomes and general wellness in the communities it serves. Through the partnership, they will share and exchange beneficial clinical information in a private, system members-only channel, and collaborate with others across the nation, through participation in other forums.

“We expect this collaboration to help us improve patient care by sharing evidence-based best practices and important clinical information quickly and frequently,” said Donald Bignotti, MD, senior vice president and chief medical officer at CHE Trinity Health. "We encourage all of our employed and affiliated physicians, many of whom are already members of QuantiaMD, to login and participate."

This new partnership with Quantia complements CHE Trinity Health’s efforts to consistently implement clinical best practices and reduce care variation across its large network, while amplifying the organization’s voice and expertise on healthcare topics of national importance. It will also allow CHE Trinity Health’s Unified Clinical Organization (UCO) – which works to identify, implement, and replicate the results of evidence-based, patient centered care – to quickly disseminate important findings and receive feedback.

QuantiaMD is a highly engaged community where over 250,000 physicians nationwide already spend an average of 20 minutes per session in rich interactions learning from experts, asking questions, and receiving practical advice from peers. By blending expert-led interactive content, social technologies, and game mechanics, Quantia creates valuable learning experiences physicians enjoy and want to explore.

“We are thrilled to be working with CHE Trinity Health, a truly forward-thinking organization that understands the power of an engaged physician network to improve performance and deliver better care,” said Mike Coyne, CEO of Quantia. “Organizations like CHE Trinity Health are finding that Quantia’s unique approach to physician engagement helps disseminate best practices, collaborate across a wider physician population, and through active participation by its physician network, position itself as a thought leader in the healthcare industry.”
