Brooklyn imaging group installs GE wide-bore MRI

Bay Ridge Medical Imaging, a Brooklyn, N.Y.-based radiology group, has installed GE Healthcare’s Discovery MR750w 3T MRI scanner.

The system features a 70 cm patient bore and allows for greater use of feet-first scanning while also maintaining head-first scanning as a viable option. The larger opening is designed for patients who might have difficulty being scanned on other systems, according to GE Healthcare.

The Discovery MR750w will be installed at Bay Ridge Medical Imaging’s Dyker Heights location.
