Communication software provider Amcom Software has been selected by Emory University for its smartphone messaging and pager replacement offering, Amcom Mobile Connect, to improve communication between university staff members.
According to the Eden Prairie, Minn.-based company, the technology simplifies the process of sending messages and tracking responses among BlackBerry and Android devices, iPhones and other smartphone-carrying staff for code alerts, patient updates, lab results and consult requests.
Additionally, Atlanta-based Emory’s Office of Information Technology (OIT), will integrate its existing Amcom contact center software for web-based employee directory and on-call scheduling, emergency notifications and automated speech-based call processing, Amcom stated.
