Alabama MRI facility promises patients a ‘spa-like’ atmosphere

Can’t stand crowded waiting rooms? A new imaging center in Prattville, Ala., might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for all this time.

Sonos Imaging, a new MRI facility that held its grand opening this week, promises patients a “luxury” and “spa-like” experience. Waiting rooms have been replaced with “individual lounges,” which include internet access, a television and private changing rooms.

According to a Montgomery Advertiser report, the company is planning more locations throughout Alabama, including one in Birmingham within the next year.

As the healthcare industry continues to shift from quantity to quality, could more luxurious facilities be in the future?
