The 25 states with the worst access to healthcare

The state of Georgia holds the dubious honor of coming in last in the nation in a recently released analysis of states with the worst consumer access to healthcare.

The report, created by health news and information site HealthGrove.com, took into account specific variables affecting healthcare access, including physician density, dentist density, percent insured, median household income, number of mental healthcare shortage areas and the presence of a medicare-registered hospital in each state's counties.
