RBMA names new board members, officers
The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) has announced its 2012-2013 board members and officers.
Bob Still succeeds Michael Bohl, RT, MHA, as president. Still, a member of the Health Imaging editorial advisory board, has been the practice manager for Lancaster Radiology Associates in Lancaster, Pa., for 18 years. He has served on the RBMA board as president-elect and previously in other capacities.
Bohl's service on the board continues as immediate past-president. He is the practice manager for Radiology Group in Davenport, Iowa. His 29 years in radiology include 15 years as a technologist and the remainder in management and administration. In prior years, he has served RBMA as secretary, president-elect and midwestern director.
Wendy Lomers, CPA, MBA, will serve as president-elect and director-at-large. Lomers has served on the RBMA board as treasurer and as a regional director, as well as on numerous committees, including the finance and membership committees. She has served several terms as president of the Texas RBMA.
Mary Hondl, BA, will serve as secretary. She has worked with Regional Diagnostic Radiology in St. Cloud, Minn., for 10 years and been an RBMA member for nearly a decade, serving on the board as midwestern director and on various committees.
Worth M. Saunders, MHA, is treasurer and eastern director. He is CEO of Greensboro Radiology in Greensboro, N.C. He has previously served on the RBMA board and as chair of the RBMA payor relations committee.
Keith E. Chew, CMPE, is parliamentarian and director-at-large. He is a senior consultant within the practice consulting solutions division of McKesson Provider Technologies, specializing in medical practice operations, new venture development and contracting sub-specialties in the realm of radiology and imaging services.
Mark O. Bernardy, MD, remains on the board as American College of Radiology (ACR) director. He has been involved in ACR economic activities for many years, and currently serves on the coding and nomenclature committee and chairs the managed care committee. He is a past president of the Georgia Radiological Society, serves on its board and is treasurer of GRADPAC, its statewide PAC.
Bill Wilson, of Bloomington Radiology, Normal, Ill., will serve as midwestern director. He has been an RBMA member since 1982.
Debra Platt, BS, RT, of Great Basin Imaging in Carson City, Nev., is western director. She has worked in radiology management for the past 30 years in both hospital facilities and outpatient freestanding imaging centers.
Suzanne Taylor, BS, is southern director. A member since 1986, she has previously served on the board and is currently active on the federal affairs and payor relations committees.
Kimberly Longeteig, Fred Downs, PhD, Steve Schreiber, MS, Thomas W. Greeson, JD, and James Hamilton, MBA, will serve as directors-at-large.
Longeteig, principal of Ali`i Marketing & Design, has more than 15 years of professional marketing, advertising and graphic design experience, with specialty focus in radiology, medical billing, healthcare IT and healthcare-related businesses.
Downs manages Diagnostic Imaging Systems, a private practice, in Atlanta.
Schreiber is practice manager for Via Radiology in Seattle.
Greeson is partner at ReedSmith in Falls Church, Va.
Hamilton is the business manager of Medical Imaging Physicians in Dayton, Ohio.
