Physicians see positives, negatives of EHRs
While physicians report that changing EHRs can improve functionality and help meet Meaningful Use requirements, many are unhappy with the switch, according to a survey published in Family Practice Management.
Researchers polled 305 family physicians (from July 2014 to September 2014) who had switched EHR systems in 2010 or later. Fifty nine percent of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that their new system had better functionality, but only 43 percent of respondents said they were happy with the switch to a different EHR system.
