Philips to partner with Masimo on rainbow SET technology

Philips and Masimo will partner to integrate rainbow SET technology to Philips patient monitoring solutions, according to a statement from Philips.

The partnership with Irvine, Calif.-based Masimo will enable Philips’ monitoring systems to accurately measure total hemoglobin, oxygen content, carboxyhemoglobin, methemoglobin and PVI noninvasively and continuously, according to the company.

“The integration of rainbow SET technology represents a great benefit for Philips’ customers,” said Deborah DiSanzo, executive vice president, Patient Care and Clinical Informatics, Philips Healthcare. “With rainbow integrated into Philips patient monitors, clinicians will have access to innovative, potentially lifesaving measurements including hemoglobin.”
