M*Modal aligns with Merge on speech recognition

Speech recognition IT vendor M*Modal has entered into a partnership with Merge Healthcare, an enterprise imaging IT vendor.

The partnership allows Chicago-based Merge to integrate the Franklin, Tenn.-based M*Modal’s speech recognition technology into its products, according to a Jan. 26 statement.

This week, MedQuist rebranded itself as M*Modal.
