MedQuist rebrands as M*Modal

Medquist Holdings, a developer of medical transcription services, will unify its operations under the name M*Modal, as of Jan. 25, and the company’s common stock will be traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol “MODL."

In August 2011, the Franklin, Tenn.-based Medquist merged with speech recognition software developer M*Modal.
