HHS, ONC to invest $28M in state HIE grants

Department of Health and Human Services chief Sylvia Burwell announced that the agency will invest $28 million in health information exchange grants, according to Health IT Buzz, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT’s official blog.

The funding specifically will support 10-12 grants with states, territories or state-designated entities to advance the adoption and use of interoperable health IT tools and services for the exchange of health data.
