Four steps to ensure security of medical devices

Medical device maker Phillips Healthcare takes a four-step approach to guard against unauthorized access to devices, data leakage and hacker attacks, Information Security Media Group reports.

Michael McNeil, global product security and services officer for Phillips Healthcare, said the company focuses on risk assessment, the product development process, consistent product security training and a consolidated incident response management process.
