DR Systems updates cloud computing platform

Image and information management systems provider DR Systems has added new capabilities to its electronic medical information exchange (eMix), now allowing for importing and data sharing from CDs, DVDs and other external media.

The San Diego-based company said  the platform will enable facilities to edit the imported exam's medical record number that corresponds to its own numbering system to create a radiology order session number and data that can be imported from a USB thumb drive, external hard disk and similar digital storage devices.
