Change Healthcare, SourceMed to partner on billing for outpatient healthcare providers
Change Healthcare, a provider of software and analytics and technology-enabled services, has announced a partnership with SourceMed, a provider of outpatient software solutions and revenue cycle management services for surgery centers.
"Improved visibility throughout the lifecycle of a claim delivers greater insights into patient responsibility, increasing collection rates, reducing accounts receivable days outstanding and providing more visibility into an organization's overall business performance," says Kris Joshi, executive vice president for Change Healthcare. "The workflow and productivity gained from these more tightly integrated solutions will create efficiencies throughout the revenue cycle."
The joining of Change Healthcare's Revenue Performance Advisor solution with EASE Eligibility and SourceMed's practice management solutions may reduce the need for many manual processes and automate revenue cycle workflows to enable providers to be more efficient and profitable.
"Outpatient providers such as rehabilitation therapy and ambulatory surgery centers are facing increasing pressures to process billing and collections from multiple diverse entities," said Kareem Saad, executive vice president of strategy and business development for SourceMed. "These organizations need solutions that reduce manual intervention for administrative staff and increase transparency for the patient. This strategic partnership with Change Healthcare will improve patient and provider relationships and keep the focus on successful outcomes versus financial reconciliation."
"This multifaceted relationship demonstrates Change Healthcare's and SourceMed's joint vision to address the critical challenges facing outpatient healthcare providers," said Dr. James Coffin, CEO of SourceMed. "We believe technology solutions should work across vendors and deliver automation, transparency and actionable insights."
