Booz Allen acquires analytics start-up Epidemico

Booz Allen Hamilton has purchased Epidemico, a Boston-based health analytics start-up, for an undisclosed amount, reports The Washington Post.

Epidemico is the creator of HealthMap, an online mapping tool that tracks the spread of diseases using a computer algorithm. It has been credited with tracking Ebola in West Africa before the World Health Organization declared it an outbreak.
