Agfa releases enterprise content management system in Canada
Agfa HealthCare has launched Hydmedia, an electronic content management system for healthcare organizations, to the Canadian market.
Hydmedia enables healthcare facilities to digitally archive healthcare information, including all paper-based documents, laboratory data, images and any kind of electronic document, to provide a single view of the clinical and administrative record. All records are stored using a patient context and are displayed within a case, visit or via specialty or document type.
The system is based on common healthcare IT standards (HL7), and can not only share clinical data, but hospital information such as financial and human resources documents. The vendor-neutral technology can be embedded into third-party applications and other IT systems via standard IT interfaces, such as web services.
Hydmedia is not available in the U.S., the Mortsel, Belgium-based company said.
