Agfa, Barco team up to upgrade diagnostic displays
Agfa HealthCare and Barco have formed a partnership to refresh the diagnostic display systems running Impax PACS. The “display refresh program” will provide customers with access to diagnostic display technology, Agfa and Barco said.
Agfa noted that most diagnostic imaging uses conventional monochrome liquid crystal display technology. However, advanced imaging presentation techniques require increased use of color. Diagnostic color displays allow users to utilize color-enabled PACS features and advanced visualization capabilities, Mortsel, Belgium-based Agfa said.
The partnership also supports clinical performance of the healthcare enterprise's PACS with access to a secure, online, enterprise-wide Quality Assurance service. Finally, the display refresh program offers an LCD upgrade opportunity.
