WEDI offers ICD-10 testing guidance for small providers

A new white paper serves as an instructional guide to ICD-10 testing for small providers.

The Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange's (WEDI) ICD-10 Testing Subworkgroup produced the white paper which focuses on primary considerations and steps for external testing with payers to ensure compliance.

“For many small provider organizations, the uncertainties surrounding the impending ICD-10 transition can be daunting. For this reason, the ICD-10 subworkgroup has structured the paper as an easy-to-follow instructional guide, addressing the who, what, where, when, why and how of the testing process,” said Devin Jopp, EdD, WEDI president and CEO. “Our hands-on approach by volunteer members and dedicated subcommittees continue to allocate significant resources to the ICD-10 effort--preparing white papers, readiness studies, webinars and conference presentations to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.”
