N.Y. budget proposal includes $1.2B for health infrastructure
N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s $142.1 billion budget proposal unveiled last week includes a $1.2 billion capital program to support health facilities.
The 313-page budget request also earmarks $95 million to digitize health records using $65 million in state funds and $30 million from the Medicaid program. In addition, the budget allocates $55 million for the state’s health information exchange, $10 million to create a database to store patient medical bill records and $10 million for other health IT projects.
