HHS seeks Jedi Master
Looking to move to the public sector? The Department of Health & Human Services is seeking a "Jedi Master" for its CIO office.
"The chief information officer for the Department of Health and Human Services is looking for a Jedi Master to fill the position of innovation director for the Office of the Chief Information Officer," the post reads. "This is not a report-building job. We are looking for someone who can help to re-frame our approach to solutions development by solving problems with working solutions crafted through rapid prototyping. These solutions, in turn, will serve as a foundation for implementations and for new strategies to problem solving.
"The successful candidate should have both the public presence to own a room, and a passion for DOING--you will need to use your skills to show others the way. Your enthusiasm should inspire passion, curiosity, and dedication and killer work for others. With a very small permanent team, you will need to be ruthlessly efficient with time and resources to accomplish great things. You should have the ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment. If your DNA has been sequenced, you will have found it equally divided between serving as a leader and helping our customers realize their dreams."
