CMS Reminder: March 31 EP attestation deadline approaching

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is reminding eligible professionals (EPs) that the deadline to register and attest to Meaningful Use (MU) for the Medicare EHR Incentive Program is Monday, March 31 by 11:59pm, EST.

“Due to the large volume of providers attesting, please submit your data as soon as possible and during non-peak hours to avoid system delays,” according to the agency notice.

EPs participating in the incentive program need to refer to their state deadlines for attestation information. Payment adjustments for EPs will be applied beginning Jan 1., 2015, to Medicare participants that have not successfully demonstrated MU.
