Verisk Health rebrands as Verscend Technologies under new management

After years of operating as Verisk Health, the data-driven healthcare company is giving itself a makeover with a rebranding initiative.

Beginning today, the company will now operate under the name Verscend Technologies, the company said in a statement.

The name change comes only two weeks after Emad Rizk, MD, took over the company as CEO. Rizk, who has worked at the executive level in healthcare for more than 25 years, was previously CEO at Accretive Health, a Chicago-based revenue cycle management company.

Verscend, based in Waltham, Massachusetts, helps develop more positive outcomes for providers by giving them information, opportunities and recommendations about payment accuracy, revenue integrity, population risk analytics and quality improvement.

“The name Verscend is an important milestone on our path to be an independent organization and a tribute to our future as a stand-alone entity,” Rizk said. “The name Verscend implies growth, ascension, momentum and symbolizes the company’s commitment to optimize healthcare and create better outcomes.”
