Seven organizations join Optum Labs collaborative

Optum Labs, a collaborative research and innovation center founded by Optum and Mayo Clinic, announced the addition of seven new charter partners.

The new partners, which represent a diversity of stakeholders, include:

  • American Medical Group Association
  • Boston University School of Public Health
  • Lehigh Valley Health Network
  • Pfizer
  • Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
  • Tufts Medical Center
  • University of Minnesota School of Nursing



Optum Labs joins entities dedicated to improving patient care by sharing information assets, technologies, knowledge, tools and scientific expertise. Research is linked to the clinical environment through prototyping and testing in Optum and partners’ care settings, with a goal of achieving knowledge that improves healthcare delivery and patient outcomes, according to the release.

The announcement of the seven new members follows the recent addition of AARP as founding consumer advocate organization of the collaborative.
