Educational CPR simulation offers feedback to users
Gaumard Scientific Company, producers of educational simulators for more than 60 years, have introduced and demonstrated the OMNI 2, its newest CPR trainer that combines value-priced simulators with a touch-screen platform.
The OMNI 2 provides instruction through trainers and simulators, both teaching different aspect of CPR. Trainers aim to educate users in real-time on compression and ventilation while the simulator develops resuscitation techniques and knowledge of the process. Feedback on technique and effectiveness gives users a way to improve CPR skills.
When paired with Gaumard simulators, OMNI 2 is able to facilitate simulators and control a full range of responses in reaction to the user. With real-time reactions and measurements, the experience is more realistic and instills the sense of emergency that is felt in a real CPR incident.
"OMNI 2 is so easy and intuitive that CPR instructors can manage any simulation in any location," said John Eggert, Gaumard's executive vice president. "The enhanced functionality of OMNI 2 substantially elevates the fidelity of value-priced simulators."
