Deyta Offers Submission Services to Hospices for Automated Submission of Hospice Item Set Data to CM

Louisville, KY, June 19, 2014 -- Deyta, LLC announced today that it will offer Submission Services with its new Quality Actionboards to further alleviate administrative burdens associated with ensuring Hospice Item Set (HIS) compliance. As part of the CMS Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP), all Medicare-certified hospices will be required to capture, validate and report the 64 patient-level data elements that comprise the HIS for all patients admitted on or after July 1, 2014.

Kevin Porter, President and CEO of Deyta, comments, “The HIS requirement imposes significant administrative burdens and for many hospices, remaining compliant will require current staff members to take on more responsibility or for hospices to hire additional staff. Deyta’s Quality Actionboards and Submission Services provide hospices with an affordable alternative to ensure HIS compliance while also assisting hospices in meeting the QAPI requirement."

Designed with the flexibility to integrate with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to import the HIS data, but also meet the manual-entry needs of paper-based hospices, Deyta’s Quality Actionboards solution is a web-based, HIPAA-compliant system that streamlines the HIS data flow process for hospices. With Quality Actionboards, hospices benefit from efficiency gains associated with streamlined data validation and automated XML file generation for submission of the HIS data elements to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). To further support hospices in their efforts to remain compliant, Deyta will submit HIS data elements, as allowed by CMS guidelines, for hospices that elect Deyta’s Submission Services.

In addition to assuring HIS compliance, Quality Actionboards offers hospices a robust suite of performance reports for the NQF-endorsed measures and other industry-vetted outcome measures to assist hospices in meeting the QAPI requirement and elevating patient care. Reports will include national benchmarks to help hospices easily pinpoint improvement opportunities through comparative analysis of their scores with hospices across the country.

Based upon the specific needs of a hospice, Deyta also announced a FastStart Program that when adopted fully by the hospice, ensures compliance with CMS requirements beginning July 1. Hospices looking for a solution to streamline HIS data capture are encouraged to attend one of Deyta’s upcoming webinars showcasing Quality Actionboards, Submission Services, and the FastStart program.
