The Data Quality Campaign Becomes National Cyber Security Awareness Month Champion
WASHINGTON, DC, September 5, 2014—The Data Quality Campaign joins a growing global effort among government, corporate, non-profit, and academic sectors to promote online safety awareness.
As an official champion of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2014, the Data Quality Campaign (DQC) will promote cyber security awareness resources online and through social media.
“We’re excited to announce this new partnership with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA). Their expertise and dedication to cyber security will prove valuable as we continue to promote the safeguarding of student data and its use to improve student achievement,” said Aimee Rogstad Guidera, executive director of the Data Quality Campaign.
DQC proudly supports public awareness programs like NCSAM. Trust in education data use and personal information practices must be created by increasing transparency and awareness, demonstrating to parents, students, and teachers the benefits and promise of data use and technology.”
Celebrated every October for the past 11 years, National Cyber Security Awareness Month was created to ensure everyone has the resources needed to stay safer and more secure online.
The NCSA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and empower a digital citizenry to use the Internet securely and safely. It is dedicated to providing industries, communities and individuals with the tools and resources to protect themselves and the digital assets we all share.
