WSJ offers advice to patients on their health information

It's time for consumers to take charge of their health and their health information, according to an article in The Wall Street Journal that offers advice for patients on how to get their information and what to do with it.

Leaving health information up to providers is "a big mistake," according to the article, that gives doctors too much power over information vital to patients and creates opportunities for errors.

Patients can serve as their own "data hub" and help circumvent "data lock," according to the story.
