Wachter addresses IT's impact on relationships, safety

Patient safety expert Robert Wachter, MD, penned an op-ed in The New York Times lamenting the effect digitization is having on the practice of medicine. Despite the billions spent on health IT, patients and physicians are unhappy. That won't change, he says, until technoloyg becomes something healthcare can't live without.
