Two ambulatory products earn certification

Two more health IT vendors recently received modular EHR certification for meeting some of the requirements of revised Stage 1 and Stage 2 EHRs Meaningful Use criteria—the 2014 Edition.

The Orbit patient portal software from Piscataway, N.J.-based IGI Health, version 6.0, has received ambulatory modular certification from The Drummond Group. Vitera Healthcare Solutions has obtained modular EHR certification from The Drummond Group for version 9 of its Intergy EHR system, meeting 26 of 43 criteria. The Tampa-based firm expects to achieve full certification in the fourth quarter of 2013.

There are now 76 products partly or fully certified under the new criteria. The complete list of products certified under the 2014 Edition is available here.
