PointClickCare Launches Integrated Direct Messaging Enrollment at LeadingAge Annual Meeting & Expo 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--PointClickCare, the leading cloud-based software platform for the senior care market, announced today that enrollment is now available for its secure Integrated Direct Messaging tool. Designed to provide more efficient and effective communication between senior care providers and their acute care partners, the new capability will offer senior care and acute care providers the power to connect to each other and exchange resident information electronically and in a secure and convenient way from within PointClickCare’s core EHR system. This will support care providers in their effort to achieve Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirements. PointClickCare Integrated Direct Messaging will also be available as a standalone offering that can be used with any other messaging system, enhancing interoperability with all care transition partners.

“PointClickCare is dedicated to removing barriers for our customers in order to better support quality of care and collaboration among health care partners,” said Dave Wessinger, Chief Technology Officer, PointClickCare. “This enrollment period will help expedite the security authentication required, helping our customers onboard early so that they are ready to go.”PointClickCare is working with Medicity, a preferred Health Information Systems Program (HISP) provider that offers direct message exchange infrastructure and administration services, to make its Integrated Direct Messaging offering available. Once enrolled and activated, providers can send and receive secure direct messages to other senior care partners, including hospitals, practitioners, and insurance payers. Additionally, any attached documents can be saved as part of a resident’s health record.

With tools like Integrated Direct Messaging, PointClickCare demonstrates its investment and commitment to the key issues faced by its customers – optimizing health IT capabilities in a way that leads to better clinical outcomes.
