MetaCare Enterprise™ EHR Receives ONC-ACB Modular Stage 2 Meaningful Use Certification

Garden City, NY, July 15, 2014 -- Meta® Healthcare IT Solutions, a leading clinical software provider, announced today that it has achieved Modular Inpatient Stage 2 EHR ONC-ACB 2014 Certification for MetaCare Enterprise™ EHR on July 1, 2014. The suite of solutions has been examined by InfoGard in accordance with the applicable Eligible Provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 Meaningful Use measures required for eligible providers and hospitals to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Meta’s CMS EHR Certification ID is IG-2592-14-0045.

New Meaningful Use Stage 2 objectives now hold eligible professionals (EPs), eligible hospitals (EHs), and critical access hospitals (CAHs) to a higher standard. Among these objectives is an increased degree of interoperability regarding continuity of care, medication reconciliation, and problem list sharing, as well as clinical quality measures such as CPOE functionality for medication, laboratory, and radiology orders. Results reporting, improved clinical decision support functionality, and patient-specific educational resources have also been included within the new stage 2 CQMs.
