Axolotl, Initiate Systems partner for HIE solutions

Initiate Systems and Axolotl have entered into a partnership to combine Axolotl's Elysium Exchange, a health information exchange (HIE) framework that networks legacy and EMR systems, with Initiate's patient identification solution.

The combined solution will enable patient identification and interoperability between hospital information systems, integrated delivery networks, regional healthcare information organizations and statewide HIEs, according to the Chicago-based Initiate and the Mountain View, Calif.-based Axolotl.
