GE rolls Medplexus into Centricity suite, accesses smaller practices

GE Healthcare announced it has acquired MedPlexus and its suite of product offerings, including ambulatory EMR practice and revenue cycle management software, will be added to GE's Centricity line.

According to GE, the purchase of MedPlexus will cater to small, independent clinical practices. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2000 and privately funded to date, MedPlexus serves physicians office settings in the U.S., according to GE. The company employs approximately 100 people between its Sunnyvale, Calif., headquarters, and at its primary development facility in Hyderabad, India.
