Midwestern med center deploys EDIS

Great Plains Regional Medical Center has deployed T SystemEV, the emergency department (ED) information system offered by clinical software developer T-System.

The North Platte, Neb.-based Great Plains Medical Center is now contributing ED health information to Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NeHII), the the statewide health information exchange (HIE), according to Dallas-based T-System.

In addition to contributing to NeHII, Great Plains has been able:
  • Provide access to patient histories, lab results and historical medication lists;
  • Import ED records into the inpatient hospital information system; and
  • Send ED reports to primary care physicians.
