MEDecision service lets entities share clinical data, images

MEDecision has introduced a new health information exchange (HIE) service, InFrame, that allows healthcare organizations to share clinical data—including diagnostic-quality medical image —among themselves and with patients.

According to the Wayne, Pa.-based company, InFrame has features for referrals, for supporting telehealth arrangements among partner facilities and for expanding an organization’s brand and geographic reach.

InFrame also features the ability to exchange medical images; plug-and-play integration with EMRs, PACS, personal health records and other clinical applications; and a privacy and security model based on industry standards, MEDecision said.

The release of InFrame is a result of MEDecision’s 2009 acquisition of HIE company HxTechnologies.
