InSite One creates HIE for 600+ U.S. providers

InSite One, a provider of medical data archiving and disaster recovery managed services, has created a health information exchange (HIE), spanning more than 600 healthcare institutions across the U.S.

The Wallingford, Conn.-based company said that all of its 600-plus clinical organizations clients are currently connected using Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise standards of DICOM and HL7 and will have their data next year in a document registry ready to participate in the cross-enterprise sharing (XDS) enabled HIE affinity domain(s) of their choice.
