Indiana records found in dumpster
About 170 patient records from a medical lab in Crown Point, Ind., were found in the dumpster of a nearby strip mall, according to an NWI Times report.
An employee of a local restaurant noticed the records in the dumpster and notified The Times Media Co., which then notified the Indiana attorney general's office, according to the report.
The records came from My Fast Lab, a medical testing business no longer operating. The records include names, addresses, phone numbers, blood types, credit card numbers, copies of Social Security cards, driver's licenses and health insurance cards, according to the report.
