Pulse Systems, Inc., Strengthens Its Cloud Practice Management and EHR Position in the U.S.

WICHITA, Kan., Oct. 15, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pulse Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of Cegedim (EURONEXT:CGM) and an industry-leading provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management, e-prescribing, Billing and Collections, and other Revenue Cycle Management solutions, today announced the completion of its acquisition of the U.S.-based practice management business of Nightingale Informatix Corporation. This transaction strengthens Pulse’s cloud practice management and EHR position.

“We are excited about this acquisition and the strength of the healthcare IT professionals that will be joining the Pulse team upon closing, along with the clients that they serve,” said Jeff Burton, President and CEO of Pulse Systems.

Pulse will now focus on upgrading and advancing each new client into Pulse’s growing offerings of state-of-the-art technology and service solutions. These solutions enable each medical organization to leverage the power and simplicity of Pulse’s suite of fully-integrated proprietary products offered in both client server and cloud environments.

The acquisition includes the assets of Nightingale’s Medrium, Ridgemark, Secure Connect and Northern Health Products. Pulse, under a license agreement, will also enhance and further develop, sublicense and sell Nightingale V10 in the U.S. In conjunction with the sale, Nightingale entered into a mutual non-competition agreement with Pulse for a period of three years, where Nightingale would not compete in the U.S. market, and Pulse would not compete in Canada.
