NJ hospital opens digital health store
A new onsite store at Morristown Medical Center aims to empower patients and visitors to use technology in their healthcare.
The Morristown, N.J., organization has opened “HealtheConnect,” which offers support from a full-time specialist who can assist with health-specific mobile apps and technology.
Patients and guests can bring their smartphones, laptops and tablets to HealtheConnect to learn about new health technology options, including connected blood pressure monitors, fitness trackers, wireless BMI scales, personal medical record access and more.
The store is equipped with charging stations and other digital accessories for sale such as headphones and charging tools. HealtheConnect also plans to host monthly seminars to educate the community and physicians about health and wellness technology.
The medical center is part of Atlantic Health System, which has repeatedly been named one of the most wired facilities in the U.S.
