Quantum Radiology's Mobile Breast Center brings breast screens to you
For millions of women, an annual mammogram can mean taking a day off work or creating other difficulties in daily life, but Quantum Radiology is easing such burdens by bringing mammography to women with its Mobile Breast Center (MBC).
“We recognize the time constraints women face when balancing their personal healthcare needs with the responsibilities of home and work life,” said Anna Meyerson, MD, director of breast imaging at Quantum Radiology. “Our mobile service gives women the opportunity to conveniently address a component of their healthcare needs. Breast cancer screening gives us the best chance at early detection of breast cancer. We are passionate about screening because we are saving lives."
As a joint venture with Charlotte Radiology, Quantum Radiology’s MBC partners with women directly through their workplace. Current corporations being served by the MBC include Delta Air Lines and SunTrust Bank.
"I think it's a great service for the women of SunTrust. It enables them to have a mammogram without taking a large amount of time away from their job. Quantum follows up with each of the women and makes the whole process from beginning to end very easy," says Gina Gay, RN, with SunTrust's health clinic.
The MBC is a state-of-the-art screening center on wheels that can keep patients comfortable while offering them quality care. Equipped with a waiting area, two dressing rooms, a private imaging suite and staffed by certified female mammography technologist, the MBC is able to complete each appointment in under 20 minutes. Each exam is then interpreted by a board certified physician.
